Jill The Garden Muse

Style? Whimsical, vintage, playful, spontaneous, garden fairy meets modern lady, country mouse meets city mouse
Favorite store or designer? Anthropologie, Buster’s Baskets and Flowers (for amazing vintage pieces), Zara
Most worn? Levis and riding boots (perfect for the garden, and the ranch/organic farm/nature school/lavender field I'm working on creating)
Can't leave the house without? A good attitude…and a snack
Favorite item, even if you’ve only worn it once? My gold bee necklace
Scent? Angel by Thierry Mugler, hands down.
Favorite Purse? The grey one with fringe that I got for $20. People stop me on the street and admire it. I’d never spend a lot on a bag…I’d rather buy plants or good olive oil.
Something that would surprise everyone about your style? I give very little thought to what I wear (which is sometimes evident in my outfits!)…and I can be ready (with make-up and accessories) in less than 5 minutes. For real.
 Star Sign? LEO baby!
Occupation? Mom, poet, gardener, writerwww.TheNakedTurtle.com , blogger www.TheNakedTurtle.wordpress.com , floral designer
What are some things that make you happy? Spending time with my son, friendship, flowers, anything homemade or homegrown and of course, being in the garden.
Quotes that you love? “To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting.
- e. e. cummingsBest advice you heard or said?
“You have to look for a path you can’t see.” My friend Marylee told me that many years ago, before she passed, and she was very, very right.
 Favorite books
“The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho
“Seasons” by Donna Hay
“A New Earth” by Eckhart Tolle
“The Garden Behind the Moon” by Howard Plye
 Favorite songs?
“I’m Coming Out” by Diana Ross
“Milk & Honey” by Beck
“Pumped Up Kicks” by Foster the People
“Sebeke” by Amadou & Mariam
“Ginger Roots, Plantings of a Future Dreamer”
Bookends
Sun and moon.
Maté and mint tea.
Kiss and kiss.
These are the bookends
To my day.
And I’m always
Looking for you
Somewhere
In the middle
Of this beautiful
Love story
Called
My life.

  1. It seems I'm on the right track, I hope I can do well. The result was something I did and was doing to implement it.
